Senior Android Engineer

Join DAZN’s Mobile Engineering team as a Senior Android Engineer to build world‑class streaming experiences for millions of sports fans. Design, develop, and maintain a large‑scale Android app, collaborating with product, design, backend, QA and other engineers to deliver high‑quality features and continuously improve performance, reliability and user experience.

• Design and develop Android applications using modern Android technologies and best practices
• Build scalable, maintainable, and well‑tested solutions
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and deliver new features
• Drive technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions
• Review code and mentor other engineers
• Investigate and resolve performance, stability, and reliability issues
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, tooling, and development processes

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin
• Experience with Coroutines and asynchronous programming
• Proficiency in Android architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVP, and Clean Architecture
• Hands‑on experience with Jetpack libraries, ExoPlayer and/or Media3
• Experience with multi‑module Android projects
• Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks like Dagger and Hilt
• Experience working with REST APIs
• Knowledge of testing practices and CI/CD workflows
• Experience with code reviews, collaborative software development, and debugging
