Sr. Big Data Engineer

Senior Big Data Engineer responsible for designing and implementing end‑to‑end data warehouse and lakehouse solutions for large‑scale financial services clients. Works on petabyte‑scale data pipelines using Spark, Scala/Python/Java and Hadoop or object storage, collaborating with Agile teams to deliver high‑quality analytics assets.

• Design and develop end‑to‑end data warehouse and lakehouse solutions for banking, insurance and payment service clients
• Create and maintain complex data pipelines using Spark, Scala/Python/Java on Hadoop or object storage
• Write and optimize SQL queries for Oracle and Netezza databases
• Collaborate with cross‑functional Agile teams to deliver user stories, participate in sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives
• Investigate and resolve production issues, providing root cause analysis and mitigation plans
• Document data architecture, pipeline designs and best practices

• 5+ years of experience in Data Warehouse/Data Lake/Lake House projects in product or service‑based organization
• Expertise in building complex data pipelines with Spark using Scala, Python or Java on Hadoop or object storage
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle and Netezza databases
• Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodology, including user story creation, sprint planning and reviews
• Optional experience building Nifi pipelines
• Strong analytical skills for debugging production issues and implementing mitigation plans
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
