Data Engineer

IDFC FIRST Bank is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure supporting analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

• Manage large volumes of data from ingestion to consumption.
• Ensure high-quality, error-free deliverables for business operations.

• Manage the full data lifecycle including ingestion, transformation, and consumption.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify high-impact business problems and solutions.
• Create and maintain technical design documentation for data pipelines and projects.
• Collaborate with BI analysts and engineers to build prototypes and present data solutions.

• Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in data engineering.
• Proven expertise in SQL, Spark, and the Hadoop ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of Data Lake/Lakehouse architecture with exposure to Hadoop and/or AWS.
• Deep knowledge of relational databases and data modeling.
• Technical debugging skills and experience with Git for version control.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
