Specialist Cloud Engineer – AWS

Amgen is seeking a Specialist Cloud Engineer – AWS to design, develop, and support cloud-native operations and solutions that enable scalable, reliable, and secure cloud platforms. You will work closely with Cloud Engineering, Cloud Operations, Automation, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to build innovative solutions and enhance operational efficiency.

• Design and implement AI/GenAI-powered cloud solutions leveraging intelligent agents and workflow automation.
• Build, manage, and support secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective cloud platforms.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement automation, observability, and AIOps capabilities to improve platform reliability and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, support incident resolution, and perform root cause analysis.
• Support AWS FinOps activities including cost optimisation, resource utilisation reviews, and forecasting support.

• Master’s degree with 6 to 8 years of experience, Bachelor’s degree with 8 to 10 years of experience, or Diploma with 10 to 12 years of experience in cloud operations.
• Deep expertise in AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Control Tower, EKS, IAM, and VPC.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation frameworks such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience in SRE principles including observability, MTTR, SLIs/SLOs, and incident response.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native application deployment.
