We are seeking a Solution Architect to design and lead a central email gateway that sits between the client’s commerce platform, its middleware (enterprise service bus), and a new email service provider. The gateway will handle all business‑critical transactional email such as order, shipping, refund and account notifications. It will expose a pass‑through API for systems ready to use the new provider directly, and a backward‑compatible API that mimics the legacy interface. The role involves architecture design, integration with AWS services, and ensuring reliable email delivery at scale.
- Design and architect the central email gateway solution.
- Lead implementation and integration with AWS services.
- Develop and expose pass‑through and backward‑compatible APIs.
- Ensure high‑availability, scalability, and reliability of transactional email delivery.
- Collaborate with commerce platform and middleware teams to integrate the gateway.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize the system.
- Produce technical documentation and best‑practice guidelines.
