Senior Backend Engineer with DevOps experience

Join an engineering team building and maintaining core backend services for a modern enterprise platform. In this remote role based in India, you will design scalable APIs and microservices while contributing to cloud-native development, operational excellence, and deployment automation using Java and modern frameworks.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs.
• Build, enhance, and maintain microservice-based applications using Java and modern frameworks.
• Develop and optimize integrations with relational databases, messaging platforms, and enterprise services.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and application deployments across development, testing, and production environments.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, and deployment issues to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure code quality, scalability, and architectural consistency.
• Apply DevOps practices to improve platform reliability, deployment efficiency, and operational performance.

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot and/or Quarkus.
• Proven experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservice architectures.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts, with practical experience in PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, clean code principles, and automated testing.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architectures such as Kafka.
• Fluency in English.
