NatWest Group is seeking a Vice President - Software Engineer with deep expertise in Java and Google Cloud Platform to design, produce, test, and implement resilient software across the system lifecycle within the investment banking domain.
- Apply Agile methods to the development of software on the backlog
- Produce resilient and long-lived software and act flexibly to cope with future needs
- Deliver intentional architecture and formulate emergent design through innovative ideas and prototyping
- Design and develop software with a focus on the automation of build, test, and deployment activities
- At least 14 years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and enterprise application development
- Strong expertise in transforming monolithic applications to microservices running in the cloud
- Hands-on experience with GCP (Pub-Sub, GKE, BigQuery, Dataproc), Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Proven experience working with Sybase, PostgreSQL, and distributed caching technologies like Oracle Coherence
- Understanding of the investment banking and Market Risk domains
