Sr. QA Engineer

NTT DATA is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. In this role, you will drive quality assurance activities, focusing on functional QA, enterprise application testing, and business process validation within complex Agile environments.

• Analyze User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and functional documentation to identify test scenarios and dependencies.
• Design, document, maintain, and execute functional, integration, and regression test cases.
• Validate business processes across modules, integrations, roles, permissions, and workflow configurations.
• Log, document, investigate, and track defects in Azure DevOps with reproducible steps.
• Maintain end-to-end traceability between User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Test Cases, and Bugs.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies to provide updates on test execution, quality risks, blockers, and QA progress.
• Coordinate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and business users during UAT and delivery.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of overall IT industry experience with a minimum of 6+ years of relevant Software Quality Assurance experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in functional, integration, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
• Proficiency in Test Management tools such as Azure DevOps Boards and Test Plans.
• Domain experience in Procurement and/or Banking/Financial Services projects.
• Technical testing experience validating web applications, APIs, and business rules with working knowledge of SQL and log analysis.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments and distributed cross-functional teams.
