As an Applications & Systems Performance QA Engineer at Qualys, you will be part of a motivated engineering team working on the Next-generation Platform & Middleware.
You will be responsible for prototyping, designing, and developing tools to benchmark middleware and platforms for a high-scale microservices architecture processing over 100 million transactions per day.
- Workload modeling, test planning, execution, and analysis
- Performance benchmarking, stress, load, endurance, and scalability testing
- Identifying bottlenecks across application, database, API, and infrastructure layers
- Analyzing JVM, memory, CPU, thread dumps, and GC behavior
- Collaborating with Dev, QA, SRE, and Product teams for performance improvements
- Strong hands-on experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar performance tools
- Strong knowledge of application monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Grafana, Dynatrace, or Splunk
- Good understanding of Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, and Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Strong SQL and database performance analysis skills
- Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines
