Mid-Level Data Engineer (Backend / Python / Cloud / DevOps)

We are seeking a Mid-Level Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions across cloud platforms. The role involves developing Python-based APIs, building ETL pipelines, and managing both batch and streaming workflows, while ensuring performance and reliability. The engineer will also collaborate on CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code practices.

• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and testable Python code
• Develop backend APIs using FastAPI or Django/Django REST Framework
• Build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Python
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to support data needs
• Troubleshoot issues and optimize application and pipeline performance
• Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation
• Work with Linux environments and understand system design fundamentals
• Develop batch and streaming data workflows, data ingestion pipelines, and data transformation processes
• Understand and apply data modeling and data warehousing concepts

• 2–5 years of experience in data engineering
• Proficiency in Python and backend frameworks such as FastAPI or Django/Django REST Framework
• Experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Linux environments and system design fundamentals
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, RDS, ECS, CloudWatch) or GCP services (Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Dataflow, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run)
• CI/CD expertise with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild, or Cloud Build
• Containerization skills using Docker
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems such as CloudWatch or Grafana
