Lab49 is seeking an experienced Java Developer to lead work on complex and challenging projects, driving transformative change for top-tier Financial Services clients in an Agile environment.
- Build distributed systems that deal with actor-based concurrency, reactive programming, and distributed in-memory data grids
- Work on server-side JVM-based projects using the Java or Scala ecosystem stack (Spring, Hibernate, Maven, etc.)
- Collaborate with clients in iterative, project-based engagements to build cutting-edge solutions
- Demonstrate experience writing commercial-grade software with a deep understanding of multithreading and real-time architectures
- 8+ years of recent hands-on experience in designing and coding complex, enterprise, commercial-grade applications in core, server-side Java (Java 8+)
- Experience building RESTful Web Services
- Test-driven development, including Unit and End-to-End Testing
- Experience with Agile software development (SCRUM or KANBAN)
- Experience in a CI/CD workplace
- Strong demonstrated interest in global financial markets and financial products
