Cognizant is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable microservices for healthcare applications using Node.js, Kogito, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
- Build and deploy microservices on Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes
- Implement microservices and event-driven architectures
- Ensure API security, robust observability, and comprehensive test automation
- 7 years of total experience in backend development
- 3 years of specific experience building and deploying microservices on GCP or Kubernetes
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, REST APIs, and PostgreSQL
- Experience with event-driven architecture, API security, and observability
- Familiarity with healthcare claims processing or BPM platforms is preferred
