This role is for an Engineer responsible for the design, development, and unit testing of software applications. The candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, scalable, and high-performing software applications in an Agile development environment, leveraging strong Java and GCP skills.
- Design and discuss your own solution for addressing user stories and tasks
- Develop, unit-test, integrate, deploy, maintain, and improve software
- Perform peer code review
- Actively participate in sprint activities and ceremonies including daily stand-ups and sprint planning
- Apply continuous integration best practices
- Collaborate with team members to achieve Sprint objectives
- At least 4 years of Google Cloud based development experience
- Strong hands-on experience working in Java technology
- Experience with BigQuery, Dataproc, Composer, Terraform, GKE, Cloud SQL, and Cloud functions
- Hands-on experience working with APIs, microservices, REST, JSON, SOAP, and XML
- Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and DevOps tools such as GIT, TeamCity, Maven, and SONAR
