A senior engineer responsible for managing and operating Allianz’s central GitHub platform, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring compliance and operational excellence across a large repository landscape. The role involves technical analysis, process definition, code quality enforcement, mentorship, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver high‑quality software solutions.

• Manage and operate the central GitHub repository platform for ABS Germany Web / Client
• Provide tooling and standardized processes for software development and release lifecycle, enabling daily CI builds
• Ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency in source control and build infrastructure
• Implement, maintain, and operate build pipelines for ABS in Germany
• Create analyses and implementation concepts for source control, CI/CD, and developer tooling requirements
• Document and define actual and target processes for GitHub platform operations
• Conduct impact analysis for cross‑repository requirements
• Perform technical analysis of applications (architecture, performance, reusability, security)
• Clarify requirements, create user stories, and document implementation concepts
• Write testable, scalable code and enforce coding standards
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Mentor and guide junior team members
• Enforce software quality standards and continuous improvement processes
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align solutions with business goals
• Minimize technical debt and identify refactoring opportunities
• Maintain monitoring, alerting, and bug fixes per Allianz CPI procedures
• Process support cases (2nd/3rd level support) and handle incidents via Teams, SNOW, Group Mailbox

• University Graduate degree (mandatory)
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Proven experience operating large‑scale GitHub or source control platforms for hundreds of users and repositories
• Extensive CI/CD experience with Java applications (OSGi, ABS) and large codebases (>25 M LoC)
• Strong knowledge of Java, Maven/Tycho, Jenkins, Groovy, Dynatrace, Prometheus/Grafana, GitHub, Git Runner, and Git Actions
• Experience in agile team environments
• Exposure to AI tools is an advantage
