Associate Business Analyst (Adv excel, SQL & secondary research)

As a Data Steward/Associate Business Analyst at Gartner, you will help ensure that the company has high-quality, business-critical data available to support effective decision-making, sales, and client management across the enterprise.

• Resolve complex data issues and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain data accuracy.
• Apply business context to data-related decisions across enterprise, account, and contact domains.

• Independently execute data operations and data quality initiatives across enterprise, account, and contact data domains
• Research and verify corporate hierarchies, annual revenue, industry classifications, and other firmographic information
• Compare information across business information providers and resolve discrepancies using sound judgment
• Identify and correct duplicate records, inaccurate information, and data anomalies
• Perform updates and data changes in accordance with established policies and quality standards
• Support sellers and internal partners by resolving data-related questions and requests in a timely manner
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of research, decisions, and issue resolution

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in data operations, business analytics, sales operations, or a related field
• College graduate; BE/BTech, ME/MTech, or MCA preferred
• Proficiency in SQL, including writing, troubleshooting, and executing queries
• Strong Microsoft Excel and database skills
• Experience using business information providers such as Dun & Bradstreet, S&P, or similar sources
• Strong research, analytical, and business problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
