Ola's Platform Engineering team is hiring a Software Engineer with strong Go skills to build the ride dispatch, driver matching, and geo-routing microservices handling millions of daily trips across India, UK, and Australia.

  • Build and scale ride dispatch and driver matching services in Go
  • Develop geospatial algorithms for real-time driver location indexing
  • Implement ETA prediction service integrations
  • Write comprehensive Go unit and integration tests
  • Optimise matching latency to sub-100ms for seamless ride experience
  • Participate in on-call rotation for dispatch services
  • 3–5 years backend engineering with 2+ years Go
  • gRPC and Protocol Buffers
  • Geospatial systems: H3, PostGIS, or similar
  • Redis Geo and Pub/Sub for real-time matching
  • Kafka event streaming
  • Kubernetes and Docker
  • Strong algorithms and graph traversal for routing
