Senior Software QA Engineer

Senior Software QA Engineer responsible for designing and maintaining test automation frameworks for Windows desktop applications, ensuring quality and performance of Autodesk's Desktop Connector and related cloud services.

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable test automation frameworks and automated test suites for Windows desktop applications using C#, .NET, FlaUI, or equivalent technologies.
• Drive end‑to‑end quality assurance activities as a QA Lead, including test strategy, planning, execution, defect management, and release readiness.
• Identify and automate critical functional, integration, regression, and end‑to‑end test scenarios to improve test coverage and accelerate release cycles.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve test reliability, execution efficiency, and maintainability.
• Perform functional and exploratory testing, investigate defects, and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and cross‑functional teams to define acceptance criteria, identify quality risks, and ensure high‑quality feature delivery.
• Lead defect triage sessions, bug bashes, and automation code reviews while promoting quality engineering best practices across the team.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, or equivalent tools to accelerate test development, improve coverage, and optimize testing workflows.
• Effectively communicate testing progress, automation coverage, quality metrics, and release risks to stakeholders.

• 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with strong hands‑on expertise in test automation for Windows desktop applications.
• Proven experience as a Senior QA Engineer or QA Lead, driving test strategy, planning, execution, defect management, and quality reporting.
• Strong programming skills in C# and .NET, with experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows desktop UI automation using FlaUI, WinAppDriver, or equivalent frameworks.
• Experience developing and executing automated functional, integration, regression, and end‑to‑end tests.
• Proficiency with test management and defect‑tracking tools such as Xray, Jira, or equivalent tools.
• Practical experience leveraging AI‑assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, or similar tools for test automation, test planning, debugging, and productivity improvements.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating effectively with cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
