Senior Python Engineer – Platform

Darwinbox is hiring a Senior Python Engineer to build the payroll calculation engine, tax compliance automation, and statutory filing features for 2M+ employees across India, Singapore, and UAE.

• Build and maintain multi-country payroll calculation engine
• Develop India statutory compliance: EPF, ESI, PT, TDS, and Form 16
• Build salary revision and increment processing workflows
• Write comprehensive pytest test suites for payroll accuracy
• Lead technical design reviews for payroll platform
• Mentor junior Python engineers on payroll domain complexities

• 5–7 years Python backend engineering
• Django or FastAPI expertise
• Complex payroll and statutory compliance domain experience preferred
• PostgreSQL and Redis for high-volume payroll calculations
• Celery for async payroll run processing
• Strong testing culture with pytest TDD methodology
