Senior Backend Engineer – Telecom BSS

Nokia India's BSS (Business Support Systems) R&D team in Hyderabad is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to develop the Nokia Digital Operations Centre — a cloud-native BSS platform for real-time order management, billing, and customer care used by 100+ global telecom operators.

• Build Nokia Digital Operations Centre cloud-native BSS features
• Develop TMF Open API-compliant order management and billing APIs
• Implement Kafka event-driven workflows for telecom service activation
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests
• Lead technical design reviews for BSS platform features
• Support Nokia operator customer BSS integration projects

• 5–7 years Java or Python backend engineering
• Microservices architecture with Kubernetes and Istio
• Apache Kafka for telecom order and billing event streaming
• PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch for BSS data management
• TMF Open API (620, 641, 679) for BSS integration
• Telecom billing or order management domain experience preferred
