SDE II - Data Engineer

InMobi is looking for a hands-on SDE-II – Data Engineer to join the Demand-Side Platform (DSP) team. You will build, maintain, and optimise scalable data pipelines supporting programmatic advertising, campaign analytics, and attribution.

You will work with batch and streaming data, distributed processing frameworks, and cloud data platforms to transform large volumes of data into reliable insights, collaborating closely with backend and ML engineering teams.

• Develop, maintain, and optimise end-to-end batch and streaming data pipelines for processing events such as bid requests, impressions, clicks, and conversions
• Build data ingestion and transformation workflows using Python, SQL, and Apache Spark/PySpark
• Implement data quality checks, schema validation, error handling, and monitoring to ensure data accuracy
• Work with distributed data processing technologies like Apache Kafka and Spark for streaming workflows
• Collaborate with backend engineers, ML engineers, and stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions

• 2–5 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or big data development
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Good command of SQL, including joins, aggregations, and query optimisation
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark/PySpark or a comparable distributed data processing framework
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
