Python ML Engineer - Generative AI

Persistent Systems is hiring a Python ML Engineer with Generative AI expertise to join its fast-growing AI Center of Excellence. You will build enterprise GenAI applications — including RAG pipelines, autonomous agents, and LLM-powered automation tools — for clients in BFSI, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors.

This is a high-demand, high-growth area. You will get to work with the latest LLMs and multimodal AI models, building production-grade GenAI systems from POC to enterprise-scale deployment.

• Build RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines using LangChain and vector databases
• Develop LLM-powered agent workflows for enterprise automation
• Fine-tune open-source LLMs for domain-specific client use cases

• Design and build production-grade RAG and GenAI pipelines
• Fine-tune and evaluate LLMs for enterprise client use cases
• Build LLM-powered agents and automated workflow tools
• Integrate AI services with enterprise systems via REST APIs
• Conduct GenAI architecture workshops and demos for clients

• 3-6 years of ML engineering experience with recent GenAI exposure
• Strong Python programming with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks
• Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) and open-source LLMs (Llama, Mistral)
• Knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB)
• Understanding of prompt engineering and LLM evaluation techniques
• Experience deploying AI services on AWS or Azure
