Multi Cloud Engineer

The Multi Cloud Engineer at Kidde Global Solutions designs, implements, and supports secure, scalable infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and on‑premises data centers. The role blends architecture, operations, and automation to deliver highly available, resilient hybrid platforms and resolve complex cloud, networking, security, and performance issues.

• Lead cloud infrastructure architecture, operations, and modernization efforts across AWS and Azure environments
• Design, implement, and support highly available, secure, and scalable cloud platforms and services for business‑critical enterprise applications
• Build and manage compute, storage, database, and platform services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure SQL)
• Establish landing zones, account and subscription structures, and tagging standards to support consistent, well‑governed multi‑cloud growth
• Support workload migrations and application modernization from on‑premises VMware and legacy platforms to AWS and Azure, maintaining hybrid connectivity
• Produce cloud architecture and design documentation, runbooks, work instructions, and root cause analysis reports
• Support on‑premises and data center infrastructure, including HPE servers, storage, and VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter platforms
• Drive monitoring, alerting, and observability across cloud and on‑premises environments (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, VMware vCenter, HPE iLO/OneView)
• Design, test, and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions, and perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization
• Implement and maintain cloud security controls, including IAM, encryption, key management, network segmentation, and security baselines across AWS and Azure
• Partner with Security team and Managed Security Services Provider to monitor and respond to cloud security events and remediate vulnerabilities
• Support governance, compliance, and policy enforcement (e.g., AWS Organizations, Azure Policy)
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud, networking, security, and performance issues as a senior escalation point
• Provide hands‑on production support, including participation in an on‑call rotation for critical cloud services
• Apply ITIL Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management practices
• Drive cloud automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep) and build CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and scripted automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
• Mentor and lead engineering initiatives while staying hands‑on in implementation and production support

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 4 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, operations, or platform engineering, ideally in a global or multi‑site enterprise environment
• Deep expertise with AWS cloud services and architecture; working knowledge of Microsoft Azure
• Strong experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar), automation, and DevOps practices
• Hands‑on experience supporting on‑premises data center infrastructure, including HPE server and storage hardware and VMware virtualization (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter), in enterprise‑scale production environments with high availability and security requirements
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, monitoring, and disaster recovery
• Proven ability to independently lead and execute mission‑critical projects in fast‑paced environments
• Ability to work US timezone hours and accommodate on‑call and after‑hours needs
