Lead Software Engineer - Python, Unix

Assume a critical role in defining the future of a globally recognized firm, taking a leadership role in site reliability engineering within JPMorgan Chase's Commercial & Investment Bank. You will advise others on technical and business issues, conduct resiliency design reviews, and provide mentorship to engineering teams.

• Consistently model and champion site reliability culture and practices, documenting and sharing knowledge
• Lead initiatives to improve the reliability and stability of your team’s applications and platforms using data-driven analytics
• Drive collaboration to identify comprehensive service level indicators and objectives with stakeholders
• Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for major-incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis
• Serve as the main point of contact during major incidents for your application to resolve issues quickly
• Offer a high level of technical expertise and provide advice and mentorship to other engineers
• Lead reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted reliability workflows across SDLC and toolchain practices

• Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise system architecture, and toil reduction
• Proficiency in Python programming
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to improve SRE workflows
• Proficient knowledge and experience in observability, white/black box monitoring, and telemetry collection
• Proficient with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices and tooling
• Proficient with container and container orchestration technologies
• Experience with troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues
