Persistent is seeking a GCP DevOps Support Engineer to join its cloud operations team in Pune. The role focuses on production support, incident management, platform reliability, monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure and DevOps processes.
- Monitor, support, and continuously improve cloud and operational services on GCP
- Manage and support Kubernetes and GKE-based environments for platform stability
- Investigate incidents, troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues, and perform root cause analysis
- Coordinate incident resolution activities and communicate with stakeholders
- Build, maintain, and optimize monitoring dashboards, alerts, and observability solutions
- Develop and maintain operational runbooks, support procedures, and technical documentation
- Support deployment automation and continuous delivery processes across environments
- Administer cloud infrastructure while ensuring security, compliance, and governance standards
- Implement backup, recovery, access management, and configuration management processes
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and business teams to improve production readiness
- Proactively identify reliability risks and implement preventive measures
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity for optimal operations
- Participate in change management activities and support production deployments
- Drive operational excellence initiatives and continuous service improvement programs
- 2-5 years of experience in Cloud Support, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering
- Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience managing Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) environments
- Strong knowledge of monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting tools
- Experience with incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation practices
- Knowledge of cloud networking, security, access management, and operational governance
- Experience creating operational documentation and runbooks
- Exposure to scripting and automation tools
