Embedded Software Engineer (Embedded Systems & Industrial IoT)

Baker Hughes is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our Digital Technology teams. You will design, develop, and deploy edge analytics solutions that collect, process, and analyze data from industrial assets and sensors, enabling real-time decision-making, predictive maintenance, and operational efficiency.

• Design, develop, and maintain edge analytics applications for industrial environments.
• Collaborate with firmware teams to integrate edge analytics capabilities into embedded devices.
• Design and develop IoT gateway software for industrial deployments.
• Integrate with industrial communication protocols and OT infrastructure.
• Implement cybersecurity best practices for edge devices and industrial networks.
• Collaborate with cloud, AI/ML, data engineering, and product teams to deploy edge intelligence solutions.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in embedded software, industrial software, IoT, or edge computing environments.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++.
• Experience with embedded Linux and RTOS environments.
• Knowledge of device drivers, board support packages (BSP), and hardware interfaces.
• Experience with ARM-based processors and embedded hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with messaging technologies and industrial protocols such as MQTT, AMQP, and OPC UA.
