DevOps Engineer (Application Deployment & Configuration - K8S)

This role focuses on automating and managing the deployment of manufacturing applications in a Kubernetes environment. The engineer will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, apply GitOps practices, and ensure smooth releases to QA and production while collaborating with global teams.

• Analyze and improve automated deployment standards and governance.
• Evaluate and prepare software deployments, including tools, access, dependencies, and release packages.
• Provide automated deployment for manufacturing applications in Kubernetes, integrating services like Kafka, Solace, and databases such as Oracle, Mongo, PostgreSQL.
• Deploy applications to QA and production, ensuring minimal impact on manufacturing processes.
• Apply DevOps/GitOps solutions and best practices to automate release processes, templates, and pipelines.
• Develop comprehensive documentation, support instructions, and handover materials.
• Coordinate with global distributed teams (Germany, India, Vietnam).
• Own end‑to‑end deployment, pipeline optimization, release readiness, and governance.
• Maintain production stability and business continuity during releases.
• Continuously improve DevOps/GitOps deployment practices.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Kubernetes deployment operations.
• Experience with SDLC, packaging, releasing, and deployment for containerized or non-containerized applications.
• Hands‑on with REST and gRPC APIs, distributed systems, databases, and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with DevOps/GitOps practices, CI/CD, and deployment concepts on Kubernetes (Blue‑Green, Canary, A/B).
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
• Strong documentation and knowledge transfer skills.
• Analytical problem‑solving in complex enterprise environments.
• Understanding of Agile, HA, Resiliency, and Scalability.
• Knowledge of ITIL, operational requirements, and support.
