Zomato's Data Platform team is hiring a Data Engineer to build real-time analytics pipelines that power delivery ETA predictions, surge pricing, and restaurant ranking for 80M+ monthly users.

You will work on Flink and Kafka streaming systems processing billions of events daily from delivery partners, customers, and restaurants.

  • Build Flink streaming pipelines for real-time delivery analytics
  • Develop Kafka consumers for delivery partner event processing
  • Maintain Redshift data warehouse and dbt models
  • Implement data quality monitoring and SLA alerting
  • Support data scientists with real-time feature pipelines
  • Optimise Flink job resource utilisation
  • 3–5 years data engineering experience
  • Apache Flink or Apache Spark Structured Streaming
  • Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams
  • Python and PySpark for batch pipelines
  • AWS: S3, Kinesis, Redshift, and Glue
  • dbt for data modelling
  • Strong SQL fundamentals
