Data Engineer Python Developer

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities within the financial and investment banking domain.

• Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, and model development
• Monitor and control all phases of the development process including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation
• Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge to analyze complex problems and provide evaluations of business and system processes
• Consult with users, clients, and technology groups to recommend advanced programming solutions and install customer exposure systems
• Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders

• 4+ years of experience in applications development or data engineering
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and big data technologies
• Experience with cloud technologies such as Snowflake, Starburst, and Databricks
• Knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., Ab Initio), ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling concepts
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB
• Strong knowledge of shell scripting and Unix/Linux environments
