Backend Developer - Java/Microservices

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to lead the design and implementation of scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot. The role involves architecting high‑performance distributed systems, optimizing SQL and Hibernate, integrating Kafka for asynchronous communication, and managing containerized deployments on AWS. The candidate will write RESTful services, develop unit tests, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating closely with product, frontend, and DevOps teams.

• Architect and maintain scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Design and optimize complex SQL queries and database schemas using Hibernate
• Implement asynchronous communication patterns using Kafka
• Develop and document secure RESTful web services
• Manage containerized deployments and CI/CD pipelines using Docker and AWS
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests using JUnit
• Optimize application performance with advanced multithreading techniques

• 5‑10 years of professional experience in Java‑based environments
• Proficiency in building and deploying microservices architecture within cloud‑native ecosystems, specifically AWS services
• Strong database management and ORM skills with performance‑oriented SQL and Hibernate
• Experience with multithreaded application debugging and throughput optimization
• Excellent communication skills for technical decision articulation and junior mentorship
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
